A separate resume version for each application

Create a copy of your resume for a company or role. Store application versions in your account and reopen the resume you want to edit.

Basic resume editing and PDF download are free and do not require an account.

How it works

For applicants who want different summaries, skills and experience emphasis for different roles.

  1. 1Sign in and open the resume you want to copy in the editor.
  2. 2Enter a company or role in Resume Versions.
  3. 3Create an application copy. The tool copies your current resume content and design settings into a new record.
  4. 4Edit and save the new copy for your application. Reopen saved versions from the list.

An example application

Example: Create “Frontend Developer – Company A” and “UI Developer – Company B” copies from the same base resume, then highlight relevant projects in each.

Scope and limitations

  • Versions are stored in your account in the cloud and require sign-in and an internet connection.
  • This is not automatic revision history or an undo system; it creates separate resume records.
  • Save your current edits before opening another version.
  • Creating a copy does not automatically tailor or translate the text; you make the application-specific edits.

Frequently asked questions

Will editing a copy change my original resume?

An application copy is a separate resume record. Editing and saving it does not change the source record. Save any unsaved edits before switching resumes.

Can I open versions on another device?

Sign in with the same account to access saved versions. Unsaved drafts stored only in your browser are not transferred to your account.
